It’s a fully automatic upper-arm blood pressure monitor using the oscillometric method for both blood pressure and pulse rate measurement. 

Equipped with OMRON’s IntelliSense™ technology: the cuff inflates to the ideal level automatically (no need to pre-set inflation pressure) for greater comfort and ease of use. 

Detects irregular heartbeats: If more than two irregular rhythms are detected during measurement (variation of >25% from average rhythm), it flags the irregular-heartbeat symbol. 

Has a body-movement detection / cuff wrap guide feature: It alerts if the cuff is wrapped too loosely or if the user moves during measurement, helping to improve measurement accuracy.

Built-in memory function – stores up to 30 measurement sets (with systolic, diastolic and pulse) so you can track your readings over time.

Notes & Considerations

According to the independent device-listing database Medaval Ltd., this model (listed as BP710N / HEM-7121-Z) has not been clinically validated (or at least no accessible peer-reviewed validation evidence).  If accuracy is critical (e.g., for clinical monitoring), you may want to consider a model with full independent validation.

It is intended for use on adult patients only (arm circumference in the specified range) and not for children.

Proper cuff placement is crucial: cuff should be positioned 1–2 cm above the elbow; arm should be at heart level; you should remain still and avoid talking during measurement. Incorrect placement or movement may give inaccurate results.

It is recommended to have the device checked every ~2 years for accuracy / calibration.
