Product details

This product usually comes with a single-use applicator (inserter) to deliver the cream into the vagina. The cream may also be applied externally to relieve vulvar discomfort.

Key Features

Contains clotrimazole 1 % (approximately 50 mg per applicator dose), a broad-spectrum antifungal in the azole family. It works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane to kill the infection-causing yeast.

Typically used once daily, at bedtime, for 3 or 7 consecutive nights, depending on the strength. Seven-day regimens are common for 1% cream.

A reusable (or sometimes disposable) applicator is filled to the indicated level, inserted into the vagina, and the plunger is depressed to dispense the cream.
