A battery balancer is used for series connected batteries to ensure that the voltage of the battery is equal during charging or discharging. When the battery operates in a series connection, the voltage of the battery may not be equal. Sdwe varies in the chemical composition and temperature of each cell, as well as the self discharge rate of each battery. Therefore, even if the battery is not working, the voltage of your series of batteries will vary. These differences can cause the battery to lose balance, which means the battery may overcharge. The voltage difference increases as the battery discharge process progresses, leading to premature battery failure.
The battery balancer is suitable for lead-acid batteries (VRLA), lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP), and nickel cadmium secondary batteries. (ni/cd) and secondary nickel hydrogen batteries (ni/mh) start when the voltage is higher than 2.4V, which means that the equalizer can be used for individual battery bars in the battery. 2.4V and 12V balancers can connect up to 4 batteries at a time. If there are fewer than 4 batteries, the auxiliary cables may become loose. (Positive and negative electrodes should be avoided.) It does not affect balance. Equalizers do not involve how to connect batteries, whether in series or parallel, both can work.
