OPPO Reno 12 is the newest addition to the Reno series, following the success of the OPPO Reno 11 5G. The Reno 12 shares a lot of similarities with its siblings Reno 12 Pro, the Reno 12 F 4G and the Reno 12 F 5G model. It features a large 6.7 inches AMOLED display, a dual-tone design, a triple rear and a single AI enabled front camera. The Oppo Reno 12 5G is equipped with Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Energy and offers on-device AI features that enhance the everyday smartphone experience. 
The Reno 12 features a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with minimal bezels, achieving a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio for an immersive viewing experience. The display is curved on the front edges, with a punch-hole cutout at the top center for the front-facing camera, all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The OPPO Reno 12 offers a notable upgrade from its predecessor, particularly in the camera department. The most significant change is the replacement of the Reno 11’s 32MP Sony IMX709 portrait lens with a more versatile camera setup, consisting of an 8MP Sony IMX335 ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera, in addition to the 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor. In terms of video capabilities, the Reno 12 supports 4K video recording at 30fps, as well as 1080p recording at multiple frame rates (30/60/120/480fps) and 720p at 960fps, allowing for slow-motion captures. The integration of gyro-EIS and OIS ensures that videos are smooth and free from camera shake. 

The Reno12 Pro and Reno12 share the same Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC. This 4 nm chipset features an octa-core CPU with four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The Mali-G615 MC2 GPU handles graphics processing, ensuring smooth performance in gaming and multimedia tasks. The OPPO Reno 12 runs on Android 14 with ColorOS 14.1 which offers a suite of smart features designed to enhance user experience. The Smart Sidebar provides quick access to frequently used apps and AI features with a simple slide gesture. There is also the Smart Suggestions which offer real-time updates on the lock screen, such as food delivery progress, without needing to open specific apps.
