What is a Blood Pressure Monitor?

How to use a Blood Pressure Monitor;

Prepare;

• Sit in a chair with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
• Rest for 5 minutes before taking a reading. 

Position the cuff;

• Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, about an inch above the elbow.
• Make sure it's snug but not too tight. 

Take the reading;

• Press the start button.
• The cuff will inflate and then deflate.
• The monitor will display your blood pressure and pulse rate. 

Record;

• Write down the readings, with the systolic number first, followed by the diastolic number.
