Duration of power supply is absolutely the responsibility and power of battery. The strength of  load to carry is the responsibility of the inverter machine or box. It is important to note that the load to carry will be tested by the capacity of the inverter.

The two capacities of both inverter and batteries must be carried along.

Another key factor should be taking care of whether or not the batteries are to be charged by panels or by city power.
