Good points: It's a short read that brings together and condenses much good time management practice, and hence is ideal for the busy practitioner, and/or novice to this area. Also, each of the 21 'chapters' lasts 2-3 pages and concludes with 2-3 reflective exercises that if applied correctly, could aim to help the reader apply some (but not all) of the techniques outlined, where relevant to the readers' individual circumstances. It's certainly full of good advice and 'maxim's', that I myself regularly pass onto others, so many of the approaches can and do work. Bad points: it's a fairly 'shallow' read, bereft of theory (so it's certainly aimed at the 'casual' rather than 'academic' reader), and many of the techniques will indeed be 'well-worn', for those persons with any passing interest, and some prior reading in this subject (I expect the author is a victim of his own success in this regard). More worryingly though, is that in several places, it does seemingly contradict itself, and this will be apparent to the more critical reader. As such it is best for the reader to treat the book as somewhat of a 'smorgasbord' of time management advice. They should consider the various techniques in turn, then pick and choose only what works for them in their individual circumstances. Certainly, don't expect this text to provide an all-encompassing time management 'methodology' to apply.
