How it works:

Preparation: The scale is placed on a flat, stable surface. The height rod is adjusted to a height slightly above the person's head if it is a manual scale.

Weight Measurement: The person steps onto the scale platform, and their weight is recorded. 

Height Measurement (Manual): For manual scales, the height rod is lowered until it touches the top of the person's head, and the height is read from the markings on the rod. 

Height Measurement (Digital): For digital scales, the height rod is used to measure height, and the reading is displayed on the screen. 

BMI Calculation: If the scale has this feature, the BMI is calculated and displayed based on the recorded weight and height. 

Data Recording/Transmission: The data may be recorded manually or transmitted electronically.
