This is a real mppt cc, though it shows slightly higher misleading figures on the screen, it still gives good output. My problem is with the settings, I would set my current battery voltage so it recognizes and starts charging from there, but it will just enter absorption mode (14.4) when my battery is still at 13.3 thereabout. You have to change the battery settings a couple of times, which means pv input has to be removed, for the current value to be recorded and regarded. So it is not as smart as it's been stated to be...I almost returned it but wasn't available to go to the drop off at the point.
Works well
It does according to the description. For the first time, I'm getting 90% plus of my panels current. But as for the voltage, it doesn't convert excess voltage to current. What it does is to match your battery voltage and clip the excess. My panels are 36v in parallel, and my battery is 12V but it gives me about 13.6V. so I want to switch to 24V system so I can get about 27.2V. my advice is use close matching voltage between panels and battery. This SCC is a beast, it keeps giving about 50% power by past 5pm!
Haven't used the product twice I can from my experience say it has shown to be a great product. With it reverse polarity protection that I have tested. It is recommended.
It's a true mppt charge controller and a good value for the amount
Truly an MPPT controller, not a PWM disguised as an MPPT.
The controller is very effective.
Working perfectly
This is good ????
