Bishop David Oyedepo Towards Increasing Impact in Ministry by David O. Oyedepo

Depth in the Word is the secret behind ever-increasing impact in ministry. However, it is not just about the Word we have discovered but the one we have proved in our lives, “…of all that Jesus began both to do and to teach” (Acts 1:1).
As the Word increases, impact is enhanced: “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly...” (Acts 6:7). Likewise, as the Word grows, it prevails, establishing the dominion of any ministry (Acts 19:20). The depth of Paul in the Word is responsible for the transgenerational impact of his ministry that we still see today. This is why the more a minister is disposed to the Word, the greater his impact.
However, access to the deep things of God first requires a heart for God, for He will only reveal His heart to those who have a heart for God. (John 15:15). Moreover, when one with a heart for God engages the help of the Holy Spirit, he continually gains access to these deep things of God, which engender ever-increasing impact in ministry. (1 Cor. 2:9-13)
Therefore, there can be no impact in ministry without a tireless commitment to the study of the Word, because access to light is the only way to impact lives trapped in the dungeon of darkness. (John 1:5) This book is written to help ministers draw help from the Word in fulfilling their God-given assignment.
We must remember that the Word must first impact us before it can impact others through us. May this book grant every reader access to greater light that will keep us on the path of ever-increasing impact.
