Candle care tips
WoodWick candles may occasionally burn differently than traditional candles. Here are a few simple steps to ensure the best burning experience every time.
Let the candle wax become completely liquid
The best burning results are achieved when the candle burns for 3 to 4 hours. The liquid wax should reach the edge of the candle before it is extinguished, which can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. This prevents what is known as tunneling and wax residue from forming on the sides of the vessel. The flame height may vary at times and occasionally even become very small, but this is perfectly normal. A low flame will continue to heat up and return to a normal flame height.
Place the candle within sight and away from drafts
Always place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface and keep away from children, pets, flammable materials and other heat sources.
Do not move the candle while it is burning or when the wax is hot
To be on the safe side, the candle should not be moved until the flame has been extinguished and the wax has cooled completely.
