Oil pulling with coconut oil is an ancient Ayurvedic practice where you swish a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes to clean the mouth and potentially reduce harmful bacteria, plaque, and bad breath. 

To do it, simply swish the oil around your mouth without swallowing, then spit it out in the trash and rinse your mouth before brushing your teeth as you normally would. It is a traditional oral hygiene practice that should complement, not replace, regular brushing, and flossing.
