This is a genuine OEM high-capacity hydraulic filter element. It is designed as a heavy-duty hydraulic return or system filtration insert for some of Volvo Construction Equipment’s (Volvo CE) largest production assets, most notably large-frame wheel loaders.

Heavy earthmovers run massive hydraulic pumps pushing fluid at extreme flow rates. This element utilizes high-grade synthetic micro-glass fibers, which offer superior dirt-holding capacity and resistance to flow-induced pressure spikes compared to standard cellulose (paper) media.

Operating as a critical line of defense, it captures fine particulate matter (such as wear metals from cylinders and pumps) before the fluid returns to the main tank or recirculates through sensitive control blocks.

The element features robust inner and outer support cages to prevent pleat collapse or medium tearing under high-viscosity cold startup conditions or high surge flows when multiple hydraulic functions are activated simultaneously.
