Thanks to its new design, the Tommee Tippee baby milk bottle is now self-sterilising, making clean-ups a whole lot easier. Follow these simple steps to sterilise your bottle in the microwave in just 3 minutes:
Step 1: Thoroughly clean your bottle in warm, soapy water and rinse
Step 2: Fill the bottle with 50ml of cold water
Step 3: Fit the teat, screw ring and cap together and loosely place them on the bottle base. Pop in the microwave for 3 minutes
Step 4: Remove the water inside the bottle and reassemble
Please note that the time to sterilise will change slightly based on how many bottles you place in the microwave

Teat gently elongates and flexes for a comfortable feed whilst the extra wide shaped teat allows for easy latch on.

Heat Sensing Technology

The anti-colic tube changes colour if the milk is too hot. Simply dip the tube for 10 seconds to see the feed temperature. Pink indicates the temperature is too hot.

No Leak

The star valve at the base of the anti-colic tube keeps milk from travelling up the tube. Please see below guidance to ensure bottle is prepared properly to prevent leaks.

Go with the flow

We offer different flow rates to keep up with your growing baby. Every baby is different but as a guide we suggest slow flow for 0+months, medium flow for 3+ months and fast flow for 6+ months. Advanced Anti Colic Bottle teats are only compatible with Advanced Anti Colic Bottles.

Identifying Anti-Colic Teats

The Anti-Colic Teats are clearly labelled with an “Anti-Colic” mark on the teat and the packaging has a teal background to help identify the range.The Advanced Anti-colic teats are not compatible with Closer to Nature bottles.

Check the valve

Check the star valve every time you clean it and before you make up a feed. If the slit in the star valve is sealed shut, pinch it gently between your fingers to re-open.

Stir – don’t shake

Avoid) shaking the bottle to mix the formula, as this can add air into the milk which can increase colic symptoms. We suggest that you stir the formula gently with a spoon to mix the feed. DO NOT shake the bottle with a full feed.

Don’t assemble when hot

DO NOT make up a feed with boiled water straight from the kettle. Allow water to cool for 30 minutes before making up a feed. Placing the venting tube into boiling or hot liquid won’t damage it, but it may force liquid up the tube which can cause your bottle to leak when it’s assembled. DO NOT fully secure the anti-colic teat with screw ring to the bottle base when feed is too hot.
