The Synology DiskStation DS2419+ is a 12-bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) enclosure, designed primarily for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that need large, scalable, and reliable data storage. It is a diskless unit, meaning drives are not included and must be purchased separately. This kit functions as a high-capacity file server, a centralised backup target, and supports virtualisation environments.

The Synology DiskStation DS2419+ 12-Bay NAS Enclosure Kit supports a maximum internal raw capacity of 192TB (with 16TB drives x 12). It can be expanded up to 336TB when connected to one Synology DX1215 expansion unit. Equipped with an Intel C3538 quad-core 2.1 GHz CPU (with AES-NI support) and 4GB DDR4 Non-ECC SO-DIMM memory, which is expandable up to 32GB, the DS2419+ has four built-in 1GbE (RJ-45) ports with support for Link Aggregation and failover. It features a PCIe 3.0 slot that can be used to install an optional 10GbE Network Interface Card (NIC) to boost network throughput. Running on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), a web-based operating system, the Synology DiskStation DS2419+ 12-Bay NAS Enclosure Kit supports RAID types including Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10. Fully compatible with virtualisation solutions like VMware vSphere 6.5, Hyper-V, Citrix, and OpenStack, it also supports Synology's Virtual Machine Manager (VMM).
