History & Health:

Sarsaparilla is most popularly used as flavor component in root beer.

for hundreds of years. While there are multiple ways to enjoy
sarsaparilla, the most common and effective way is as a freshly brewed,
healthful tea. In the past, sarsaparilla was initially used to treat
syphilis, but today it is revered as a way to treat mild skin
conditions, as a toxin remover, and as a way to lessen symptoms of a

Steeping Directions:

Pour one cup of fresh boiling water over tea, steep 4-6 minutes. The
longer the tea steeps, the stronger the flavor. Lemon or honey may be
