Algin capsules for acid reflux

This product has greatly reduced my excess stomach. I open 1 to 2 capsules, mix in 2 oz. milk, wait for it to thicken and take right after breakfast and before bedtime. (At first I used it up to 4 times a day but had to eat a few prunes to offset some constipation that resulted from the 2 extra doses. Twice/day seems to be just the right amount for my issue at this point.)

Alternative to Typical GERD meds

Just recently received this supplement to use as an alternative to GERD medication. So far it seems like it may work well, but I’m only taking it at bedtime which is when my GERD is most problematic.

Helped My Gastritis

I have been battling a gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining) flare on and off for over a year and today I had a relatively painless day. I have been taking the Algin capsules after meals as directed and the algae reacts to the excess acid in my stomach by turning into a gel, reducing acid levels and making a gel barrier that stops stomach acid from going into my esophagus (aka acid reflux). Both reduce the inflammation. So far the Algin seems to be helping. However, I was having some side effects and after checking with Dr. Google I found out that I am supposed to wait 30 minutes after the meal and then take two capsules with a glass of water. So, my suggestion is to have some directions on the bottle which reflect this.
