How to participate

Step 1: Download the Jumia Nigeria App

Open the Jumia app

Ensure you are logged into your Jumia account.

Step 2: Look Out for Clues

Click on the banner displaying the item on the Treasure Hunt page.

Check the category where the banner redirects.

Step 3: Search for the Hidden Product

Use the provided clues to locate the treasure (product) by searching within the designated category.

The product will be hidden in a random category at an extremely discounted price (e.g., ₦2000 instead of ₦200,000).

Step 4: Add to Cart & Checkout Quickly

Once you find the treasure, add it to your cart immediately.

Proceed to checkout as fast as possible – only a limited number of winners can buy at the discounted price.

Step 5: Complete Your Order

Ensure your payment method is ready to avoid delays.

Successful buyers will receive an order confirmation.

Organizer

The Treasure Hunt is organized by Jumia (Ecart Internet Services Nigeria Limited).

Eligibility

Open to the public.
Employees, contractors, and their immediate families are ineligible.
Previous Treasure Hunt winners are not eligible to win again.

Winner Verification

Winners must verify their identity on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
Winners must be valid Jumia customers with a purchase history and at least one successfully delivered order.

Claiming Your Prize

Winners have 30 days to claim their prize; otherwise, it will be forfeited.
Winning two Treasure Hunt items invalidates both.
Only one Treasure Hunt item per customer—prizes cannot be shared.

Proof of your ID is required to claim a prize. If you fail to claim the prize within the time limit specified in the confirmation email, fail to comply with any other instructions or stated time limits, or provide incorrect or fraudulent information on the platform, you will forfeit your right to the prize.

The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, promotions, or prizes. Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Rules, you may not win more than one prize in the Treasure Hunt. We reserve the right to withhold or reclaim any second or subsequent prize

Miscellaneous Rules: We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any Promotion, Specific Rules and/or these terms and conditions if we consider it necessary or appropriate to do so for reasons beyond our reasonable control. Any changes will be posted here and/or on our website.

When entering the Treasure Hunt or claiming a prize, you must use the same name you used to register on Jumia. You may be required to provide proof of your identity and eligibility upon request. Failure to provide adequate information may result in disqualification and/or the withdrawal of a prize

You agree to keep confidential any information which you know or reasonably ought to know is confidential and relates to us, our business, the Promotion or prize.

Payment & Redemption

Treasure Hunt orders must be prepaid via card payment on Jumia. Cash on delivery is not allowed.

To claim the prize, winners must:
✅ Present a valid ID matching the name used in the order.
✅ Visit the Jumia Corporate Office to pick up their item.
✅ Agree to have their photo taken for marketing purposes.

Fraud Prevention

Jumia reserves the right to cancel fraudulent orders or those deemed suspicious.

Suspicious orders include:
⚠️ Multiple accounts linked to the same customer.
⚠️ Accounts with no prior successful orders before the Treasure Hunt.

General Terms

Jumia reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
Participation implies consent for Jumia to use winners' names, images, or likeness in promotional materials.
By entering, participants release Jumia from liability for any loss or damages related to the competition.
Jumia’s decision on all matters regarding the competition is final.

Legal & Dispute Resolution

The competition is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Disputes will first be resolved amicably. If unresolved within 21 days, the matter will be referred to arbitration under Nigerian law.
