This is a non-rechargeable, strictly mains-powered bulb. The motion sensor works reliably and activates only in dark or low-light conditions. It detects human movement and larger animals, stays illuminated for about 25–30 seconds, and re-triggers instantly with new movement. The PIR motion sensor appears to continuously calibrate its sensitivity when left powered, allowing it to cover a wider detection range, so it's best used with the wall switch left ON. Good value for the price.
