Battery dead

I checked the reviews on here before purchasing this laptop, but did not think that the battery concern was that bad until the laptop arrived. When we saw the laptop, it looked beautiful; really nice looking in appearance. But, it came on low battery and we charged it to 100%. In about an hour the battery drained so fast (Kweke!). In this era of modernization, I do not expect one to be experiencing this kind of issue with battery, especially from a new laptop. I am not happy at all about this and now we have to go and purchase another battery since we need to use this laptop for school and can't wait to be dealing with a return right now (which is what I would have liked to do in order to get my refund, but I can not afford to wait for the return and then a refund which all takes time). Please, sell laptops that the battery lasts. If it is a manufacturer issue, then leave their laptop for them, for what is a laptop without a functional battery? Its like a car without its engine.
