Your favo(u)rite game formats and words that represent you in one game!! Prepare for fun, laughter, competition and an unforgettable time.
In the box : 627 words (over 240 new words not included in the 1st edition), a sand time guide, a game guide and a mini West African overview.
The goal is to get your team to say the words on the card. Get through as many cards as possible in 60 seconds.
There are 3 words on each card: no spice (easiest), mild spice (medium complexity), and full spice. We recognize that everyone’s spice tolerance is different, and you might find some spicy words easy.
Split into two teams, choose a color to play and shuffle the cards. The color you choose determines how you play the game. Each color has its own rules:
- Red: Describe the word by using 1 word and gestures (how will you describe Shaku Shaku or Firewood?)
- White: Describe the word by using no more than 5 words (how will you describe Dictator or Side Hustle?)
- Green: Describe the word by explaining however you would like to (how will you describe Riddles or Mansa Musa?)
- Yellow: Describe the word by singing or rapping (how will you describe Burna Boy or Makossa?)

Key Features
- Expanded Word List: Jollof Wars now features a total of 627 words, which is 40% more than the first edition. This includes 240 completely new words, while 15% of the words from the first edition have been retired.
- Unique Cards for Each Color: Each color now has its own dedicated card; multiple colors no longer share cards.
- Three Words per Card: Each card now contains three words. Players must attempt to describe each word on a card before moving on to the next card. Once a player moves to a new word on the card, they cannot go back. During the 60-second round, players should try to describe as many words as possible. We estimate that each player will typically cover at least six words (two cards) per round.
- Updated Scoring: The playing team still earns 1 point for each correct word, but now can earn an additional 2 points for getting all three words on a card, totaling up to 5 points per card. The opposing team still earns 1 point for each skipped or penalized word.
