Bliss Gvs Klovinal Vaginal Pessaries (Metronidazole + Clotrimazole + Lactobacillus Spores Pessaries)

Klovinal Vaginal Tablets or Pressaries (clotrimazole 100mg, Metronidazole 500mg, Lactobacillus Spores 150 millions) is indicated for the local treatment of patients with vaginal yeast infections such as Candida albicans, other Candida Species and vaginal infections. Clotrimazole is a broad spectrum anti-fungal agent available for topical or intravaginal use. It’s active against yeast and dermatophytes and also some action against Gram +ve bacteria, especially Staphylococci and against Trichomonas. Clotrimazole acts by altering the permeability of fungal cell walls by interfering with cell wall lipids.

Metronidazole is active against several protozoa. 

Klovinal is very effective in the treatment of vignal candidisis accociated with pregnancy but should be prescribed with caution during the first trimester.

Note: the vaginal tablet is preferred during pregnancy since it can be inserted without applicator.
