The New Sciences of Religion: Exploring Spirituality from the Outside In

This has been one of the most mind-expanding studies of science and religion I have ever read. William Grassie has been the founder of the Metanexus Institute, and has strong links with the Templeton Foundation; among a number of bodies that have explored the latest theories of science including quantum physics, and have explored the implications for belief and religion. His ability to speak in the simplest and most approachable language makes his formidable analysis of historical processes as clear as possible. He explores how philosophy, religion and politics have been intricately linked; while at the same time revealing the scientific fundamentals which have also underpinned how we understand the world.
I found myself marking paragraph after paragraph, which illuminated my own search for meaning; at the same time, deepening my knowledge of how modern science is developing and changing.
