Our statements need to be backed by statistical figures, lest they should be deemed mere speculations.Hence all branches of learning make extensive use of statistical methods.The book Practical Statistics contains 1001 problems and their solutions. All the problems have been selected carefully from various university question papers and dealt with in such a manner that even an average student, without any remarkable aptitude for mathematics, can easily understand them. Only clear out and direct techniques, successfully tested inside classrooms, have been employed in solving the problems. Every effort has been made to make the book self-teaching.The book covers a comprehensive range of Statistics for undergraduate, postgraduate and professional examinations. The chapters have been systematically arranged. They begin with formulae and proceed to their application.
