Er. Sushil Kumar Srivastava is Mechanical Engineer, and was 'Member of Institution of Engineers, India (MIE)' and 'Member of Fluid Power Society of India (FPS)'. He was also member of few committees of Inter Plant Steel Standards for finalizing standards of lubricants, pumps and compressors, as applicable to various steel plants in India.
The author worked for over 33 years in Alloy Steels Plant, Durgapur under Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), executing and supervising various maintenance activities of the plant and retired as Chief Mechanical Engineer. After that the author worked for one year as General Manager in IITian General Services Ltd., Calcutta. He started his own small consulting firm, OTMEC (Oil, Tribology, Maintenance and Energy Consultants) and was also a certified and approved Surveyor and Loss Assessor from
