Dr. Whitton's book is remarkable because he didn't just regress his patients to past lives where they become aware of their phobias and traumas, but he also brings them to the in-between lives where they see themselves actively planning their next incarnation. I have always been fascinated by how people can heal through past life regression ever since I read Joan Grant's books. In the most remarkable of Dr. Whitton's cases, a patient of his succeeds in altering his sister's destiny by praying to exchange his life for hers when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and about to undergo radical mastectomy. The next day, just before surgery, her tumor was found to be benign and had shrunk so much as to be easily excised. She returned to full health. Him? Within a year, he falls prey to hepatitis and suffers kidney damage that brings him to the brink of death. Is this the effect of his prayer, to exchange his life for his sister's?
