About the authors: Ernest Ojukwu, LL.B (Hons) (Ife); LL.M (Ife), Barrister, Deputy Director-General and Head, Nigerian Law School, Augustine Nnamani Campus, Enugu was appointed Associate Professor of Law (1998) & Dean Faculty of Law Abia State University Uturu, (1995- 2001). A member of Abia State Law Reform Commission and the Abia State High Court (Civil procedure) Rules Committee (1999-2004), Ernest jukwu pioneered the introduction of the subject, Principles of civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution at the Postgraduate School Abia State University and has published extensively in the area of civil procedure and court rules.
He is also author of Legal Practitioners charges in Nigeria: Law and Practice (1997) and Companies proceedings rules 1992 Annotated (1997). Ernest Ojukwu also brings the benefit of his wide experience in civil law practice at Aba from 1985 to 2000 to the writing of this book; Chudi Nelson Ojukwu, LL.B (Hons) (Ife); LL.M (Ife), Barrister, Deputy Director and Project Manager Power Sector Reforms in the Bureau of Public Enterprises is a former Deputy Director Academics and the Head of Department of Litigation at the Nigerian Law School Kano Campus. He taught civil procedure at the Law School from 1992 to 2005. He has published articles internationally on the Enforcement of Fundamental Rights in Nigeria, Admiralty Law and Criminal Justice.
He is the author of Practice and Procedure in Election Petitions (Helen-Roberts 2003).
He is joint Editor of the judgments of the Rivers State High Court and judgments of Bayelsa State. He has worked as Consultant/Legal Expert to UNDP/Viet Nam on Legislative Assessment of Draft Investment law of Viet Nam and a Legal Advisor/ Consultant to the World Bank/Department for International Development (DFID) on Public Service Reforms in Nigeria.
