About the Book:
..In line with its title, the Book: "Essentials of Corporate Law Practice in Nigeria", is a compendium of essential and contemporary issues of Law and Practice on the subject. It is well researched, very comprehensive and contains interesting topics spiced with recent Courts' Decisions and Legislations on the subject, some as recent as at the press time. It covers emerging areas of Corporate Law Practice, scarcely found in other texts, such as: Issues of Corporate Governance, Foreign participation & Investment incentives, Investments Dispute Resolution and Capital Market Practice; floatation of Corporate and Government Bonds, utilization of Collective Investment Schemes, as well as Corporate Restructuring, based on the new Investments & Securities Act 2007 and Securities & Exchange Commission Rules and Regulations (SEC Rules) as amended 2010.........
The Author adopted functional approach in his presentations and skillfully reconciled theoretical concepts with practice. The book is further enriched with creative precedents and practical guides to completing corporate transactions, using the relevant Statutory Forms and tabular illustrations on key areas......In the light of the above observations, I therefore recommend this Book to Legal Practitioners, the Judiciary, Law and Business Students, Corporate Organizations, Regulatory bodies and all those interested in Corporate Law practice and transactions in Nigeria".
Excerpts from the Foreword to the Book by Hon. Justice Daniel D. Abutu, The Chief Judge, Federal High Court, Nigeria.
