Now embalming is an inescapable necessity; hence the need of a good book on it. It is essential that the embalmer possesses a sound understanding of the internal anatomy of the body as well as surface anatomy. The book has chapter on angiology of surface anantomy, stages of decomposition, the chemistry of embalming fluids and the process by which fluid comes into contact with the body proteins and sanitize the dead human remains, methods of arterial injection and drainage. There is a separate chapter on embalming an AIDS body. The legal responsibilities involved in the process of embalming have been dealt with independently. There are fifteen renowned contributors.
