Annamma Jacob MSc (N) completed her Bachelor degree in Nursing in 1966 and Master degree in Nursing in 1976 from College of Nursing, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. She has held clinical, educative and administrative positions in institutions in India, Kuwait and the United States of America. She has over 25 years of experience in maternal-newborn nursing.
