Design and Display

Infinix maintains the trend of making recent smartphones in the market with slim bezel and compact design. The Infinix Hot 6 still belongs to the budget category with a plastic design peculiar to this sector of market.

It appears long due to the 18:9 aspect ratio with close to maximum utilisation of the space up front. Two rear cameras are arranged at the top left corner of the smartphone while the fingerprint sensor is towards the center with Infinix logo below it.

There’s a not too crisp display in place with dark bars surrounding it and little bezel to the side. Also, the display is backed up by TFT technology which is not so modern in my opinion. With a size of 6.0-inch, the screen of the Infinix Hot 6 is large enough to enjoy your gaming, movies or reading, although, the 1440 X 720 pixels resolution might be a minor setback.

Battery and Camera

One of the areas, the Infinix Hot 6 impresses is the battery capacity which is not really behemoth but is enough for extensive usage. Going up to 4, 000mAh of juice, the smartphone is good for a little over a day on minimal usage. In addition, the smartphone also charges fast thanks to the quick charge technology built-in.

The Infinix Hot 6 joins in the wagon of dual camera smartphones with a combination of a 13MP and 8MP rear camera. This comes with features like 2x zoom,  continuous shooting, face detection amongst other things. At the front, the smartohone sports a 8MP camera for selfies.

Hardware and Software

Now this is where things l goes on a downside (living up to its budget billing) as the Infinix Hot 6 just have a low grade MediaTek chipset. Sporting a four core MediaTek MT6763 processor with a frequency of 1.3GHz going with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. This delivers a decent gaming experience and fairly smooth performance paired with the hardware remainder of the bulk.

For the rest of the package, you have  models with a corresponding and 1gb, 16GB alongside  internal storage. Both storage variants can be extended up to 128GB using a memory card if you want more space. Infinix Hot 6 runs on the latest XOS Hummingbird 3.3 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
