HIGHTOP Home Test Kit

The HIGHTOP Home Test Kit is a one-step rapid screening test designed to detect antibodies to 1 and 2 using a finger-prick whole blood sample. The test is intended for external, single use only and provides results within minutes when used according to the instructions.

This product is designed to support initial screening and does not replace confirmatory testing conducted by qualified healthcare professionals or approved medical laboratories in Nigeria.

Preparation
Check the Expiry: Ensure the kit is not past the "EXP" date printed on the foil pouch.
Wash Your Hands: Use soap and warm water (warmth helps blood flow) and dry them thoroughly.
Set Up: Lay all components (cassette, buffer, lancet, pipette, alcohol wipe) on a clean, flat surface.

Testing Procedure
Clean: Use the alcohol wipe to sanitize the side of your fingertip (usually the middle or ring finger).
Prick: Remove the cap from the safety lancet, press it firmly against the cleaned area, and trigger it to prick your skin.
Collect: Squeeze your finger to form a large drop of blood. Use the plastic pipette (dropper) to suck up the blood. Most kits require the pipette to be filled to a specific line.
Transfer: Squeeze the blood from the pipette into the small circular well (marked 'S') on the test cassette.
Add Buffer: Open the small bottle of buffer solution and add the exact number of drops (usually 1 or 2) into the same well as the blood.

Reading Results
Wait: Set a timer for the duration specified in the manual (typically 15 to 20 minutes). Do not read the results after 30 minutes, as they may become invalid.
Negative: One coloured line appears at the "C" (Control) mark and no line at the "T" mark.
Reactive (Positive): Two coloured lines appear—one at "C" and one at "T". Even a very faint "T" line is considered reactive. This must be confirmed by a doctor.
Invalid: If no line appears at "C", the test is broken and you must retest with a new kit.
