Rosemary has been used for centuries to not only stimulate hair growth but also delay graying. Listed below are the different ways in which the herb promotes healthy hair growth. Rosemary is one such ingredient. The herb has been in use for ages as an effective hair care ingredient that stimulates your scalp, thereby promoting the growth of healthy hair.

• When you are suffering from hair loss, growing your hair or keeping it long may seem a difficult task. Rosemary oil can counter hair loss by stimulating blood circulation in the scalp, which, in turn, promotes hair growth 
• Its high nutritional value and anti-inflammatory properties make it an excellent ingredient for nourishing the hair follicles and soothing the scalp. It also has analgesic properties that make it a good remedy for soothing inflamed scalps 
• It is known to thicken hair and add shine, and is often used by people who have thin, lusterless hair 
• The oil from the herb helps clean the hair follicles by unclogging them. Clogged follicles often lead to problems like dandruff, and, in extreme cases, hair fall.
• Rosemary oil is renowned for its ability to prevent and stop the spread of gray hair 
• It moisturizes a dry scalp, and prevents flaking and dandruff (5).
• It repairs damage while removing dirt and grime that may keep the hair weighed down

Rosemary Water For Hair Growth (Rosemary Hair Rinse

Using a rosemary hair rinse will make your hair shiny and manageable. It will also stimulate your scalp, preventing hair loss.

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary leaves
• 2 cups of water.

Method

1. Boil the water and add the rosemary leaves to it.
2. Let it boil for 15 minutes before you strain it.
3. Strain the liquid and set it aside to cool.
4. Wash and condition your hair as usual and then pour the rosemary infused water through your hair as a final rinse.
5. Massage your scalp for a couple of minutes after pouring the rinse through your hair.

How Often

Use this rinse once a week for best results.

• Rosemary can be infused into an oil and used externally for skin irritations like eczema and joint problems like arthritis
• It has also been reported to speed healing of wounds and bruises when used externally
• Internally, it is best added to foods as a cooking spice, though a mild tea of Rosemary Leaf can help fight illness when sipped
• A strong infusion of Rosemary and Nettle leaf is an excellent herbal rinse for hair and can help get rid of dandruff and speed hair growth when used after each washing
• Rosemary infused oil is an intensive treatment for bad dandruff of hair loss and can be rubbed on hair, left for at least an hour and washed out- this really improves scalp condition!
• Rosemary Oil can be used externally in times of illness to speed recovery by rubbing on the feet or any areas that are sore
• My favorite natural air-freshener is to put a small handful of Rosemary Leaf, 1 sliced lemon or orange, and a splash of vanilla into a sauce pot and simmer on low all day (watch the water levels)- It smells amazing and freshens the house for days
• Though I haven’t tried it, Rosemary supposedly deters small pests like mice. Several people have recommended tucking small sprigs of dried Rosemary into the backs of cabinets to ward of mice and rats during the winter.

• Rosemary Antioxidant Extract is a very effective natural preservative that can extend the shelf life of homemade lotions, cosmetics or other homemade body products
• Used externally, Rosemary Oil can help sooth the stomach and relieve pain from indigestion, menstrual cramps or other difficulties
• For ages, rosemary has been linked with hair growth in many cultures. Some early research shows that applying a combination of rosemary oil, lavender, thyme and cedarwood oil to the scalp can help improve hair growth, according to WebMD. In one study, people with a disease where hair falls out in patches (alopecia areata) experienced significant hair regrowth when they massaged their scalps with rosemary and other essential oils compared to those who just massaged their scalps with no oils. However, the study was poorly designed, UMM points out, so researchers aren't sure if the rosemary was responsible for the hair growth
