The Royale Oud actually starts with citric cedar wood. The bergamot refines the whole thing really well, there is also a sweet-peppery undertone. So that the whole morsh-(slightly) sweet-citric at the beginning works. Over the course of the fragrance after 1-2 hours we have more cedar, accompanied by angelica and galbanum.
