[Does water still flow with this in?]: Yes, of course. the problem is if it is not in just right it will not flow and give you an error message. i put my in then backed it out 1/16 of an inch, error message, then i turned it back another 1/16 and now it works without an error message. it has to read the RF chip just perfectly.
[Does this have the required RFID chip necessary to allow wafer flow?]: This does not have a chip but water is able to flow without it. Once installed the water flow is slow at first. I would recommend filling 2-3 glasses with water from the door spout and pouring it out. After that the flow rate evened out.
[Note]: Before purchasing, please confirm that your refrigerator has been installed with built-in Filtration and connected with the refrigerator. The function of this plug is to make your refrigerator work normally!
