How it works:

Multiple Filtration Stages:

Water purifiers typically use a multi-stage filtration process involving various technologies like reverse osmosis (RO), ultraviolet (UV) sterilization, and activated carbon filtration.

Reverse Osmosis (RO):

RO systems force water through a semi-permeable membrane, separating out impurities based on size.

• Sediment Filters:These are typically the first line of defense, removing larger particles like dirt, rust, and sand. 
• Activated Carbon Filters:These filters absorb chlorine, odors, and certain organic contaminants. They can be granular activated carbon (GAC) or carbon control filters. 
• Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane:In RO systems, this semi-permeable membrane filters out dissolved solids, heavy metals, and other impurities. 
• TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) Controller: This component may be present to adjust the mineral content of the water. 
• Essential Minerals Technology: Some purifiers add back essential minerals like magnesium after RO filtration.
