Based on the above functions, VL53L5CX has a wide range of applications. It mainly includes mobile phones, computers, household robots, smart appliances, smart door locks, access control, transportation, shelves, vending machines, smart buildings, smart agriculture care and so on.
Optical cover sheet VL53L5X V2 with more accurate measurement, and play the role of dustproof, protect the sensor, prolong the service life of the sensor.Multi-area distance measurement up to 8x8 area, 63°wide diagonal field of view, can be reduced by software. Using the histogram algorithm patented by stmicroelectronics, VL53L5CX can detect different objects in the field of view. The histogram algorithm can also suppress cover slip crosstalk over 60cm.
The STmicro VL53L5CX is an advanced time-of-flight (ToF) multi-area ranging sensor
VL53L5CX uses the latest generation of direct ToF technology from stmicroelectronics, which enables absolute range measurements regardless of target color and reflectance. It offers accurate ranging up to 400 cm and can operate at high speeds (60 Hz), making it the fastest multi-zone mini ToF sensor on the market.
