This is a *foldable black metal saxophone stand*.

It has a padded U-shaped cradle at the top to hold the body of the saxophone, plus a smaller padded arm lower down for the bell. The three-legged tripod base gives it stability, and the rubber feet keep it from slipping. The height and cradle are adjustable, so it works for alto or tenor saxophones.
