The purpose of this adapter card is to rep the 1.8-inch CE interface hard drive with a cheap SATA M.2 hard drive. It does not support NVMe protocol M.2 NGFF SSD, but supports most 2242 specification SATA protocol M.2 NGFF SSD!
This product requires a chip to change the shape of the hard disk interface. The chip model is JMB20330;
Product volume is approximately: length*width*thickness=53.5 mm x 30 mm x 5 mm.

Key points to note before purchasing:
1. Please make sure that the hard disk of your machine is a 1.8-inch CE interface with PATA protocol 40PIN (CE interface is also called ZIF interface)!
2. Make sure your M.2 hard drive is SATA protocol and the specification is 2242. Another point is that Apple devices are not compatible with all NGFF M.2 hard drives. It is recommended to use hard drive models that have been verified by others.
3. It is recommended to use low-power SSD as much as possible, because the mechanical audio power used by your device is very low, so the power supply part of your machine designed for your hard disk can not provide a large current. Generally, 1A~1.5A is enough. To the maximum extent, if you use a high-power SSD, it will definitely increase the power supply load of the device. If the power supply part of the machine cannot meet the needs of your M.2 SSD, it will cause inexplicable failures such as non-recognition, repeated restarts, and blue screens of crashes.
4. Because the width of the card holder interface of this product is 1 mm wider than the width of the cable, it needs to be aligned with the center position to insert it correctly.
