The TPA3255 is a high-performance Class D power amplifier with Class D efficiency and true high-end sound quality. The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction (PurePath Ultra HD). This technology allows the device to maintain ultra-low distortion across the entire audio frequency band while delivering perfect sound quality.
The device operates in AD mode with a maximum output of 600WX2/2R or 300WX2/4 ohm and 200WX2/8 ohm load and has a unique 2 VRMS analog input interface that supports seamless connection with high-performance DACs (such as TI's PCM5242).
In addition to excellent audio performance, the TPA3255 combines high power efficiency with ultra-low power level idle losses (less than 2.5W). This is achieved with 85mR MOSFETs and an optimized gate driver scheme. This solution can significantly reduce idle losses compared to traditional discrete implementations.
