It converts Scart signal either composite or RGB mode to HDMI digital signal. You can select the video source either by the switch on.It saves your old devices which has no hdmi output and play it on a modern hdtv which has no analog video inputs.

IMPORTANT NOTE

One direction only

The listed item is HDMI+Scart to HDMI converter. It can not work the other way.

Scart RGB Mode

The converter supports Scart of RGB model input, however.that does not mean the HDMI out is of RGB.

You need to make sure your Scart source and the Scart cable supports such also.

Most cheap gaming console to scart cable is of very poor and most of them supports scart of composite mode only.

5V 1A and above power supply

The Scart to HDMI converter needs at least 5V 1A external power supply. We recommend you to connect a 5V 2A power supply for reliability.

Pls power the converter at 1st before your connect a video source to it.

Video quality

As for Scaler, it refers to resolutions only, under most cases, it wont improve video quality.
Actually, after every video signal conversion, some details might be changed or lost.

Audio mode

The Scart to HDMI converter only supports 2CH audio out either from the Headphone port or the coaxial port. It can not output 5.1CH.
