[Overview]

We provides different combinations of the X825 2.5" sata expansion board, you can expand a variety of functions for your Raspberry Pi according to your needs.

[X825 V2.0 Features]

Updated: On April 1st 2021, X825 V1.5 is updated to X825 V2.0, which remove the on-board power on, but increase 4 pcs test pin, which will more easy to install and provide power. Now you can power via raspberry pi or X825 as you like.

The X825 expansion board provides a complete storage solution for newest Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8gb/4gb/2gb, it supports 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drives (HDD) / solid-state drive (SSD). Only 2.5 inch SATA interface HDD/SDD hard disk is suitable for X825 Board;

Supports upto 4TB 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drives (HDD) / solid-state drive (SSD) (Theoretically it can work with 6TB or 8TB as well. But actually we do not test the X825 board with 6tb or 8tb HDD, you can have a try.)

ant Note: Please use high quality DC 5V 4A power supply, the best choice is to use the DC 5V 4A power supply that Geekworm provided. If you get low quality power supply to use, it may probably will damage or not recognize your 2.5 inch HDD/SSD.

[X735 V3.0 Features]

Updated: On March, 28th, 2022, t he X735 V2.5 is updated to V3.0.

Some Change:

DC connector is changed from DC5525 to DC5521, and supports DC 6V-30V input (only DC port).

You can still use 5V PSU via type-c or micro usb port.

Remove the latching switch connector and replaced it with a XH2.54 5V OUT connector; Latching switch is no longer supported.

Replace the L-SW jumper with FAN FS jumper to control the PWM fan; (Some new user fail to make python code to make PWM fan work, or the python code doesn't supports some OS, in this case pls remove the FAN FS jumper to make the fan run at a full speed)

The X735 is a multifunctional expansion board for all current models of the Raspberry Pi using a 40-pin header. It provides intelligent and safe power management, safe shutdown and full poweroff through software, and a 4P silent PWM fan which enables the use of the raspberry pi in different conditions.

The X735 also reserves the 40-pin header that can be stacked with other Raspberry Pi acceory boards for enhanced applications.

At the same time, x735 reserved a 4PIN power switch (momentary switch) port, you can connect the additional power switch to safe control the power on/power off;

[X825-C8 Metal Case]

New case X825-C8 for X825 V2.0 & X735 & Pi 4.

Now both the X825-C6 case or X825-C7 case are not compatible with X825 V2.0.

Note: Because we found that USB 3.0 high-speed transmiion will interfere with the Raspberry Pi's 2.4G wifi signal. So if you find the 2.4G signal is unstable, please try to use WIFI 5G AP. (Please refer to: Usb3-frequency-interference )We think this is caused by the unreliability of the Raspberry Pi's wifi design. If the Raspberry Pi Foundation reserves the SMA IPEX interface, everything will become easier. We will also strule to solve this iue in the future.
