Perfect Fitted Foot Mat Lexus RX330 RX350

It comes down to your individual needs when trying to select between floor mats and floor liners. For example, if you have an older vehicle with worn carpets, an inexpensive set of universal floor mats will probably work great. On the other hand, if you have a new Jeep Wrangler, you might want something that will fit better and provide more protection from nature. Wirecutter says that if you spend a lot of time at the beach, off-roading, cleaning up spills from the back seat, or driving in snowy conditions, you probably want to opt for floor liners.

No matter which type of floor covering you choose, you'll improve your car's look and cleanliness. Choose ones that fit your lifestyle and needs to ensure you get the interior protection that's right for you. When it comes to protecting the carpet in your vehicle, there are two things you can use:

• Floor mats
• Floor liners

The main difference between these items is their price and their effectiveness. Wirecutter explains that floor mats are basically pieces of rubber, carpet, or a combination of the two that are less expensive than liners but also offer less protection. With floor liners, you'll get a custom shape that will easily fit your vehicle. Additionally, they provide lips or walls around the edges that help trap debris and liquid from spills.
