II. Step-by-Step Guide (Making an RJ45 Ethernet Cable)

• Step 1: Strip the Cable Jacket
  Use the yellow wire stripper or the stripping notch on the cri mper to remove about 1.5 - 3 cm of the outer cable jacket. Be careful not to nick the internal wires.
• Step 2: Arrange the Wires
  Untwist and arrange the 8 internal colored wires according to the T568A or T568B standard (T568B is common for home/office: Orange-White, Orange, Green-White, Blue, Blue-White, Green, Brown-White, Brown. T568A swaps the green and orange pairs). Straighten the wires, then trim the ends evenly with the cutter on the cri mper, leaving about 1.5 cm exposed.
• Step 3: Insert Wires into the Connector
  Carefully insert the arranged wires into an RJ45 connector. Ensure all wires reach the end of the connector and that the cable jacket is pushed inside the connector as well for better strain relief.
• Step 4: Cr imp the Connector
  Place the loaded connector into the 8P cri mping slot of the tool. Squeeze the handle firmly until you hear a distinct "click," indicating the metal contacts have pierced the wire insulation and the connector is securely attached.
• Step 5: Test the Cable
  Plug each end of the finished cable into the "MASTER" and "REMOTE" RJ45 ports on the tes ter. Turn on the tes ter (using the power switch). If all 8 indicator lights light up in sequential order, the cable is correctly made. If any light fails to illuminate or the sequence is wrong, re-check the wire order and connector seating, then re-cri mp.
