This adapter board simply connects the signal from the MSATA connector to the SATA 7PIN connector, so the adapter card does not need driven. If the hard disk can not be recognized, please check if it's MINI SATA interface, the card is basically not faulty, please know. This card supports half-height and full-height. If you want to use half-height, just cut it along the V-CUT line in the middle of the PCB.
