Measuring a plot of land, setting out a building or marking a field is hard with a 5-metre pocket tape. This 100M measuring tape is a long-distance fiberglass tape wound in a round yellow reel case, with a winding handle and an end loop. People commonly call this type of tool a tape rule, surveyor tape, surveying tape or land measuring tape.

A 100 metre (about 330ft) fiberglass measuring tape reel. The flexible tape sits inside a circular plastic case and is wound back in using the handle. Metre and centimetre graduations are printed along the tape, and "100 Meter" appears on it.
