A 150-sheet input tray accepts media ranging in size from 3 x 5.85" to 8.5 x 14", while the printer's automatic document feeder (ADF) accepts media from 5.7 x 5.7" to 8.5 x 14". For scanning, the 179fnw is equipped with an 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed scanner, which allows scans up to 8.5 x 14" when using the ADF. Black copy speeds are a fast 18 cpm and color copy speeds are 4 cpm.
