It can separate power outlet hot (live) wire and neutral wire without cut or strip electrical wires. Used in conjunction with a multimeter or clamp multimeter, then you can measure outlet socket current and voltage easily & safely.【Work with clamp multimeter】Plug the line splitter into socket and connect the electrical loads accordingly---> Press the change-over on to “CLOSE” position---> Clamp ammeter clamp on the x1 to measure AC current up to 15A. If for low current, then please clamp on x10 hole and get proper low current readings devided by 10.【Measure Current Voltage】 Digital multimeter test leads insert into “CURRENT CHECK” socket on the AC line splitter and test current as usual.
