Heavy-Duty 2-in-1 Blender – Made for Everyday Nigerian Cooking
Make food preparation easier with this 2-in-1 heavy-duty blender, designed for both everyday cooking and drink preparation. It comes with a large blending jar and a smaller grinding jar, allowing you to handle different ingredients without using multiple appliances.
From preparing beans for akara and moi moi to blending ugu, waterleaf, tomatoes and grinding egusi or crayfish, this blender is a useful addition to the kitchen.
Available in 4L options. Choose the capacity that best suits your household and cooking needs.
???? Large Jar – For Beans & Vegetables
The large jar is suitable for ingredients that require more room during blending.
How to blend beans for Akara & Moi Moi
- Wash the beans and remove dirt and unwanted particles.
- Soak the washed beans in clean water for about 30 minutes.
- Drain the water after soaking.
- Add the softened beans to the large blender jar.
- Add a small amount of water and blend.
- Add more water gradually only when necessary.
- Blend until you achieve the consistency required for your akara or moi moi.
Tip: Don't add too much water at once. Starting with less water helps you control the consistency of the bean mixture.
???? How to Blend Ugu & Waterleaf
The large jar can also be used for leafy vegetables such as ugu and waterleaf.
- Wash the vegetables thoroughly.
- Cut them into smaller pieces if necessary.
- Place the vegetables into the large jar.
- Add a small amount of water.
- Blend until you reach your desired texture.
This is useful when preparing vegetables for different Nigerian dishes and recipes.
???? Small Jar – For Grinding & Smaller Ingredients
The smaller jar is convenient for ingredients that don't require the large blending container.
Suitable for:
- Egusi
- Crayfish
- Tomatoes
- Pepper
- Other smaller cooking ingredients
How to blend tomatoes & pepper
Wash and cut the tomatoes and peppers into smaller pieces. Place them into the jar and add a small amount of water if needed. Blend until you achieve your preferred consistency.
How to grind egusi
Place your dry egusi into the small jar and grind in short pulses, checking the texture between pulses. Avoid overfilling the jar so the ingredients can move properly.
How to grind crayfish
Place clean, dry crayfish into the small jar and grind in short pulses until you achieve the desired texture.
???? How to Prepare Soybeans for Blending
For soybeans, proper preparation is important because dry, hard soybeans are not ideal for directly blending into a smooth mixture.
For Soy Milk
- Sort and wash the soybeans.
- Soak them in plenty of clean water for 8–12 hours or overnight.
- Drain and rinse thoroughly.
- Remove the skins if you prefer a smoother soy milk.
- Add the soaked beans to the blender.
- Add enough clean water to allow the blender to work smoothly.
- Blend until the mixture is well broken down.
- Strain the blended mixture through a clean fine sieve or cloth.
- Cook/boil the extracted soy milk thoroughly before drinking.
- Sweeten or flavour according to your preference.
Important: Blend in manageable quantities rather than overloading the jar.
How to Wash & Clean After Use
Proper cleaning after each use helps keep the blender fresh and ready for the next meal.
After Blending Beans, Vegetables, Tomatoes & Other Foods
- Switch off and unplug the blender before cleaning.
- Remove the jar from the blender base.
- Empty any remaining food from the jar.
- Rinse the jar with clean water to remove leftover food.
- Add warm water and a small amount of mild dishwashing soap to the jar.
- Cover the jar securely and blend for a few seconds on a low setting. This helps loosen food particles around the blades and sides.
- Switch off and unplug the blender before opening.
- Pour out the soapy water and rinse the jar thoroughly with clean water.
- Wash the lid and smaller grinding jar separately with soap and water.
- Use a soft sponge or cleaning brush to remove stubborn food residue.
