Double Switched Black Glass UK Wall Socket with Dual USB Charging Ports (USB-A & Type-C)
Description
This is a luxury double-gang wall socket featuring a high-gloss black tempered glass faceplate framed with chrome trim. It houses two standard UK 3-pin power outlets controlled by individual rocker switches, each equipped with its own red power status indicator window. Positioned centrally are two built-in USB charging ports—one standard USB-A port and one USB Type-C port—allowing convenient direct charging for modern mobile devices, tablets, and accessories without requiring separate wall adapters.
Features & Highlights
High-Gloss Black Glass Panel: Premium tempered glass faceplate with chrome metallic borders that resists scratching and adds a contemporary luxury finish to walls.
Dual UK 3-Pin Outlets: Standard Type G socket configuration compatible with all standard UK 3-prong plugs.
Dual USB Charging Ports: Includes 1 USB-A port and 1 USB Type-C port situated centrally for direct device charging.
Independent Switches & Indicators: Dedicated black rocker switches with chrome trim and red ON/OFF indicators provide individual control over each socket outlet.
Visual Status Indicators: Dedicated red neon/LED status windows positioned above each socket provide clear visibility of active power.
Installation Instructions
Power Isolation: Turn off the main circuit breaker at your distribution board before touching or inspecting any electrical wiring.
Prepare Wall Box: Ensure a suitable double-gang backbox with sufficient depth is properly installed in the wall.
Connect Wiring: Connect the Live ($L$), Neutral ($N$), and Earth ($E$/GND) power wires firmly into their corresponding screw terminals on the back of the socket module. Ensure the earth connection is securely grounded.
Mount Plate: Position the socket frame over the backbox, secure it with the mounting screws, and snap the decorative black glass plate into place.
Testing: Turn the main power back on and test both AC outlets and USB ports for proper operation.
Care & Maintenance
Cleaning: Always shut off power before cleaning. Gently wipe the glass faceplate with a dry or slightly damp soft microfiber cloth to remove smudges and fingerprints.
Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive pads, harsh solvents, or spray liquid cleaners directly onto the faceplate, switches, or USB ports.
Load Management: Avoid exceeding the total maximum current capacity of the socket outlets and USB transformer module to prevent overheating or tripping circuit protection.
